The controversial influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate have landed in Florida, after Romanian officials announced that judicial restrictions were raised that prohibits them from leaving Romania while waiting for the trial.
The couple traveled aboard a private jet after he was allowed to leave Romania, according to a source close to the brothers.
His spokesman shared a live diet of the plane that reached Fort Lauderdale on Thursday morning.

The Tates are accused of human trafficking and form an organized criminal group with the aim of sexually exploiting women in two cases in Romania. Andrew Tate was also accused of rape. Separate money laundering accusations are also under investigation. The Tates have denied accusations.
When leaving Fort Lauderdale Hollywood airport, Andrew Tate said he thought he and his brother are “largely misunderstood.”
“We have not yet been convicted of any crime in our lives. We never have a criminal record anywhere on the planet,” said Andrew Tate.

He said that his case in Romania was “dismissed” in December 2024 and, because they do not have an active accusation in the Court, the prosecutor “recently decided to” let them return to the United States.
However, charges against the Tates remain in force, and are expected to return to Romania for appearances in court, according to A statement of the Romania Directorate to investigate organized crime and terrorism, or Diicot. The agency warned that the lack of observation of the remaining judicial restrictions could result that more severe restrictions are urged.
The brothers had been limited to Romania since the late 2022 when they were arrested for accusations of human trafficking, money laundering and formation of an organized criminal group. They were accused in 2023. A second case began last year for similar positions that involved more women.
In December 2024, a Bucharest court ruled that the first case against the Tates and their two associated women could not proceed to trial due to multiple legal and procedural irregularities and sent it back to prosecutors. The charges were not abandoned. The second case of human trafficking against the brothers in Romania is also ongoing.
Tates’s departure follows the reports that Trump administration officials had pressed Romania to have raised a prohibition of traveling while waiting for the trial.
President Donald Trump told journalists that he did not know that the brothers had left Romania for the United States when asked on Thursday if his administration pressed the Romanian government to release them.
“I didn’t know anything about it,” he told reporters while he was in the Oval office with the United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“We will check it, we will let you know,” Trump added.
A lawyer for an American woman who is one of the alleged key victims in the Romanian criminal case against Andrew Tate condemned the Trump administration after she was allowed to leave Romania.
“It seems clear that the United States intervened in Romania to help Tate brothers who are being prosecuted for the sexual trafficking of more than 35 women, including minors,” said Dani Pinter, a senior vice president of the National Center for Sexual Exploitation, in a statement. “This is a slap to all the victims of the Tate brothers, especially the American victim who is not being protected by his country.”

The governor of Florida, Ron Desantis, said that his office had no participation in the case and discovered through the media that the brothers traveled to Florida.
“But the reality is that, no, Florida is not a place where he of anything with that kind of behavior in the air,” he said when a journalist asked him at an unrelated press conference on Thursday if Andrew Tate is welcome in Florida.
Florida’s attorney general James Uthmeier said he ordered his office on an early Thursday to work with the State Police to carry out a “preliminary investigation” in the Tate brothers.
“Florida has zero tolerance for human trafficking and violence against women,” he said in a Declaration in x. “If any of these alleged crimes trigger Florida’s jurisdiction, we will hold them responsible.”
There is currently an arrest warrant against Tates about accusations of sexual assault and trafficking of people outside the United Kingdom. Last year, a Romanian court approved his extradition to the United Kingdom once he concluded his Romanian cases.
A lawyer of four British women who accused Andrew tate of rape and coercion them has urged the United Kingdom to intervene to ensure that he is still processed in Britain.
“Any suggestion that the Tates will face justice in Romania is fantasy,” said Matthew’s lawyer, in a statement. “The United Kingdom authorities must take immediate measures to ensure extradition to the United Kingdom to face charges for the crimes of human trafficking and rape that alleges that they have been committed in this jurisdiction. Romania has been ashamed. The United Kingdom should not do the same.”
The case of women in the United Kingdom said in a joint statement that they are “in disbelief and feel re-traumatized by the news that the Romanian authorities have put pressure from the Trump administration to allow Andrew Tate to travel through Europe and the United States”
The jury asked Starmer to raise the problem with Trump during his meeting in Washington, DC, Thursday.
The prime minister also addressed the issue of the Oval office.
“There is an English element here, so it is obviously important that justice be done,” he said. “People trafficking is obviously, in my opinion, a security risk, so we will update history.”
